Overview

The first year of the Anthropology (Hons) programme at the Oxford Brookes University introduces you to sociocultural and biological perspectives of Anthropology. And our world needs people with the skills and knowledge to respond to these challenges - from global migration and inequality, to disappearing wildlife and climate change.

When you study Anthropology, you’ll tackle some of the biggest issues our societies face. And from day 1, your studies will take you across subjects, cultures, regions and species. You’ll examine wildlife extinction - and you’ll learn about conservation strategies. You’ll explore social justice and international development issues like:
