Overview
Within the Commerce (Human Resource Management) program from The University of Notre Dame Australia we believe in equipping our students with the practical and theoretical skills they will need to thrive in the ever-changing business environment. Small class sizes and dedicated lecturers and tutors mean that you will receive a highly personalised education. All Commerce students also complete 150 hours of hands-on experience in a workplace environment which allow you to apply this knowledge.
All students begin the program by completing eight foundation Courses.
These cover topics such as Accounting, Business Law, Marketing and Business Communication – the building blocks of all Bachelor of Commerce programs. You will then study more HR-focused courses like Change Management, Organisational Behaviour, Employment Law and Strategic Workforce Issues. Depending on your choice of electives you can complete a double Major within the School of Business or combine with a program in the Schools of Arts & Sciences, Law or Education.
With its emphasis on communication skills and ethics, our Human Resource Management Major is designed to help students identify workforce problems and issues, and learn strategies to create a more efficient, adaptable and productive organisation.
