Overview

Building on a foundation of anatomy and physiology, exercise and sport science develops a comprehensive understanding of the biological and social aspects of exercise. Students are exposed to the broad range of applications of the exercise and sport sciences and how they can be applied in the areas of health promotion, rehabilitation, physical education and elite athletic training. The combination of academic theory and extensive industry work experience develops students that are capable of independent reflective problem solving and community education of the health and performance aspects of exercise. In addition to the degree, exercise and sport science graduates can also achieve the industry qualifications of Level One Sports Trainer, Level One Strength and Conditioning Coach, First Aid and CPR.

It is possible to study Exercise & Sport Science as part of a double degree.

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy/Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science (5 years)
