Overview

Business and Economics (Hons) from Edge Hill University provides you with a solid foundation in a range of core business and management areas while also introducing fundamental economic theory.

During Year 2 you will extend your knowledge of business fundamentals and advance the links between business and economic theory. You will also be provided with an element of choice within the programme enabling you to start focusing your studies on personal interests.

Year 3 has been designed to help you refine your thinking on business economics by allowing you to work on longer self-initiated projects while also providing opportunities for you to pursue, with guidance, academic topics that will enhance your own employment interests.

Careers

The course provides a solid academic foundation for employment in a wide-ranging and advancing graduate employment market. Potential areas for employment include accountancy, administration, banking, education, finance, human resource management, marketing, product development, public sector management, retailing, small and medium sized enterprise management, general management and further study.
