About Mechanical Engineering at Isik University
Mechanical Engineering graduates are responsible for design, development, testing, control, and manufacture and research in these diverse fields. Many mechanical engineering graduates assume positions of management, while others prefer a career along technical lines.
Learning outcomes
An academic program has been planned to offer a challenging, yet basic education to cater to various needs. It is designed to provide a knowledge of the basic physical sciences in the first year and an engineering science program in the second year.The basics of the mechanical engineering discipline are introduced in the third year. Electives in the fourth year give students the flexibility to concentrate on areas of specialization.
The Mechanical Engineering study program from Isik University culminates in a capstone design project which offers the opportunity to solve real-world problems in a multi-disciplinary setting. In addition to 138 credit hours of formal course work, two industrial training sessions with a total duration of 40 days are required to satisfy the BS requirement.

- Acceptance letter received from Işık University
- Original High School Diploma/School Leaving Certificate
- Original Test/Diploma Score such as SAT, ACT, GCE etc.
- Original secondary school transcript (if in another language rather than Turkish or English, notarized translation should also be submitted.)
- Original Language Exam Score
- The Equivalency Certificate, which verifies the equivalency of your High School Diploma to a Turkish High School Diploma
- Letter of attorney and its notary translation in English is required for the students under 18 years old (if they are unable to come together with their guardians/parents/legal representatives.)
- Birth certificate and its notary translation in English or Turkish is required for students under 18 years old.
