The programme is known for the high standard of actor training, but also as a space where you can create and tell your own stories in sophisticated and exciting new ways. This is a highly physical and rigorous training that embraces the diversity of our students and nurtures your potential as a creative, imaginative actor and artist. Devising is at the core of the practice with space to structure, develop, and experiment with ideas, theatrical form, and exploration of the most up-to-date modes of performance making in an inclusive and collaborative environment.

Programme Structure
- Over the course of the first year, you will develop fundamental acting and devising skills and begin to explore how these are applied in different types of performance.
- The second year of the degree continues to refine your acting and devising skills whilst also applying them in more specific collaborative performance contexts.
- The final year of the degree focuses on the transition from training to stepping into the wider industry, working collaborative and devising for public performances as well as to members of industry. You will also develop your understanding and ability to work as a performer.

General requirements
- 2 A Levels at C, 3 GCSEs at C, and selection by audition.
- Normal offers may be higher and depend upon expected grades and audition performance. Exceptional applicants who do not meet this requirement, but demonstrate appropriate potential, may be accepted.
- Candidates must be eligible to satisfy the general admissions requirements. Admission will be based on the reasonable expectation that you have the potential to complete and contribute positively to the programme and that you would benefit from honours study. There is no alternative to selection by audition.This is an intensive professional training course and must be followed in its entirety.
- Selection for audition will normally depend on you meeting, or being predicted to meet, minimum entry requirements, and on written references and demonstration of the UCAS written statement.
