Overview
On the BA (Hons) Performance Design programme, you will:

This programme, which has produced multiple award-winning designers, including Linbury Prize winners, covers a wide range of design disciplines, such as::

Through practical creative compositions, material experimentation, realised performance projects, and placements within the creative industries, students will develop a strong, interdisciplinary skill set.

Programme Structure
- Year 1 is an introduction year to performance design, establishing core knowledge across a range of different design disciplines for performance, including costume/set/ light/sound and digital practices. The year is about experimenting and trying different specialisms whilst developing skills in research, critical/ contextual knowledge and collaborative/ co-creative practices.
- In their second year, students focus on the development and expansion of their skills within chosen design specialisms and widen their understanding of different performance contexts from live to lens-based practices. This year is about experimenting and challenging processes whilst broadening their knowledge of how materials and technology are used in design for performance.
