In Criminology, our approach to teaching evolves in line with changes in the sector. Multi-agency working is become more commonplace and this has led to a greater need for graduates with highly developed inter-personal skills. Research skills are also in greater demand than ever before.
The Criminology (Hons) course at Northumbria University provides you with the chance to take part in optional work experience modules and placements. This includes working with the police, within a prison or within the public/voluntary sector. There are also opportunities to spend a semester or year abroad to experience the study of criminology in an alternative culture.
