The first intake of student was in July 2007 and graduated in August 2012. We have produced good dental undergraduates who have an excellence knowledge and reputable skills with a high standard of professional ethics which are in line with International Islamic University of Malaysia vision, i.e. to restore the roles of Muslims in education, knowledge creation and acquisition as well as to contribute to the improvement of quality of life for all mankind.

Dental Surgery Program Outcome

Possess scientific knowledge to support the practice of dentistry (Cognitive).
Demonstrate clinical skills to practice dentistry independently (Psychomotor).
Demonstrate teamwork skills in managing oral health care for individuals and community (Psychomotor & Affective).
Display ethical values and professionalism in practicing dentistry within the confines of the laws governing the profession (Psychomotor & Affective).
Communicate effectively with peers in the dental and other health professions, patients and community (Psychomotor & Affective).

General requirements

At least three (3) principal passes in the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level (A) Level Examination (UK Educational System) obtained in one sitting OR
International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum of six (6) subjects obtained in one sitting OR
Any other qualifications that are recognized by the Senate of the University as equivalent to the above.

Applicants must also have the following subjects taken at the above mentioned examinations (A level, IB or any other equivalent certificates):

Mathematics (for applicants to all undergraduate programmes offered except for Bachelor of Arabic).
Two other subjects in the intended field of study.
