Overview

Pursue a Bachelor of Music degree with a major in Music – Composition, Comprehensive, History, and Performance at the University of Regina , or the Music Education degree offered in partnership with the Faculty of Education. Choose the Bachelor of Arts program, Music Concentration to develop your knowledge of music and music history.

If you are interested in performing, we offer several distinguished ensembles such as concert choir, concert band, chamber choir, wind ensemble, University Orchestra, New Music Ensemble, and Jazz Band. Chamber choir, wind ensemble, the University Orchestra, the New Music Ensemble and Jazz Band are auditioned groups. There is no audition required for concert choir or concert band.

Career opportunities

If you become a music educator, you can pursue your passion in the classroom. Qualify to teach in just four years in our direct-entry Music Education program, offered in collaboration with the Faculty of Education. You can choose to complete the requirements of a second Bachelor's Degree online, in the evenings, or during the summer while you're beginning your teaching career.
