Overview
The Sport and Exercise Science program from Western Sydney University will teach you how to work with people from a range of fitness levels and ages. This includes high-performance sport through to general health and fitness, rehabilitation, and management of obesity and weight related health problems.
Areas of study you can choose from include biometrics, exercise physiology, exercise prescription, motor control and sports psychology. This course will also give you the professional skills you need to deliver high-quality care, with 140 hours of work placements in your third year. When you graduate, you can choose from a range of career options in health and fitness centres, working in government agencies associated with sport, in teaching and research, as well as professional sporting groups, rehabilitation clinics and hospitals.
