Dalhousie University ’s Kinesiology programme offers an exciting, interdisciplinary health science approach to understanding human movement and its impact on health, performance, and overall function. What you will learn
- You'll gain a broad background in various sub-disciplines of kinesiology, including anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, movement control and psychology. You'll also be exposed to the foundational sciences such as biology, psychology, mathematics and physics.
- In the upper years of the program you can tailor your course selection to meet your individual goals incorporating a wide range of elective courses. You'll also benefit from the experiential and interprofessional learning included throughout the degree.
- The opportunity to apply for an honours degree is a great opportunity where you'll work closely with a faculty supervisor to conduct a full-year research project in your final year.
- Many students also choose to use their background in Kinesiology to move on to other professional programs such as Medicine, Physiotherapy, Athletic Therapy, Chiropractic, and Occupational Therapy.
