Description
The Worshipful Company of Curriers is a historic City of London livery company founded in 1272. Like many livery companies today, it is no longer a craft guild, supervising and regulating a specific business activity. It has developed into a modern fellowship involved in a range of contemporary activities with a lively and enthusiastic membership.
Charity and education are amongst the main pillars of the company’s activities. The company’s charitable activities are focused on welfare and education in the leather industry and the communities of London.
Benefits
The Curriers BA Placement Bursary of £3,500 is available to second year undergraduate Home or International students on the BA (Hons) Cordwainers Fashion Bags and Accessories: Product Design and Innovation course at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Curriers BA Placement Bursary students must be:
- currently enrolled in the second year of the full-time BA (Hons) Cordwainers Fashion Bags and Accessories course at London College of Fashion, UAL
- undertaking the Diploma of Professional Studies placement in the industry commencing September.
