Description

In common with other Livery Companies, the Cordwainers Company was, in the early and middle ages, responsible for the governance and quality control of its trade in the City of London and the education and training of craftsmen through the system of apprenticeships. This early involvement in education and training has continued to the present day.

To help ensure the BA (Hons) Cordwainers courses remain open to talented students, regardless of their background and economic circumstances, The Worshipful Company of Cordwainers are pleased to provide bursaries to footwear and accessories students to contribute towards students' main project.

Benefits

The Cordwainers Dato' Jimmy Choo BA Awards of £1,000 each is available to 2 students currently enrolled in either the penultimate or final year of the BA (Hons) Cordwainers Fashion Bags and Accessories: Product Design and Innovation or BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design and Innovation course at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the  Cordwainers Dato' Jimmy Choo BA Awards, students must be:

  • Currently enrolled on the final year of the BA (Hons) Cordwainers Fashion Bags and Accessories or BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear at London College of Fashion.
