Description
One scholarship is available each year to a Medical student entering Newcastle University via the PARTNERS Programme.
Benefits
The award amount is £1,000 in stages one to four, and £2,000 in stage five.
Eligibility
- Have entered Newcastle University via the PARTNERS Programme (or similar access scheme)
- Be a Year 1 undergraduate student registered on the Medicine and Surgery MB BS programme for 2023 entry
- Come from a widening participation background and/or has a low household income

No application is necessary. The successful candidate will be contacted by email or the Student Financial Support Team by the end of the Autumn term if you were successful in receiving the scholarship.
All scholarship recipients are asked to provide:
an introductory profile when they first receive the award
an annual update report in Summer to inform their donor of their progress.
You will be contacted to provide these reports with plenty of notice. Recipients are encouraged to:
be available to meet the donors
participate in promotion of student support activity at Newcastle University, if requested
