Description
The Inclusive Bangor Scholarships are available to students undertaking a master's degree (taught or by research) in any discipline at Bangor University. The scholarships were established to support students who have faced barriers or inequalities due to protected characteristics under the Equality Act and/or economic disadvantage. Scholarship holders are encouraged to contribute to the University's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives and may participate in School, College and University EDI activities and committees. One scholarship is awarded per College.
Benefits
The scholarship provides a tuition fee payment of up to £9,500 for a one-year taught or research master's degree, or over two years for part-time study. For full-time courses lasting longer than 12 months, the scholarship covers tuition fees for the first year only.
Eligibility
- Must be a current final-year Bangor University undergraduate student or have graduated from a Bangor University undergraduate degree within the last two years.
- Must meet, or be expected to meet, the entry requirements for the chosen master's programme.
- Must apply for a taught or research master's degree at Bangor University.
- Integrated master's students are not eligible.
- Applicants receiving another bursary, scholarship or sponsorship are not eligible.
- Must demonstrate how structural or financial barriers have affected their educational journey.

Applicants must submit the Inclusive Bangor Scholarship application form together with a CV by the published deadline. Shortlisted applicants are invited to an interview as part of the selection process.
