Description
Open to students upon their application to NUS up to their third year of study.
Scholarship will be disbursed at the end of each semester when students fulfill specific criteria.
No bond but required to take on the role of student ambassadors.
Not to be in receipt of other scholarship/bursaries/free aid without consent.
Benefits
Depending on the academic plan, the scholarship is between $10,000 and 20,000.
Eligibility
Application is open to the following students:
- All incoming NUS students who intend to major in Chinese Studies (CH) and/or Chinese Language (CL).
- All Year 1 to Year 3 (Semester 1) NUS students who are majoring in CH and/or CL.
The main selection criterion for the scholarship interviews will be the academic scores or equivalent of the applicants. Leadership potential and good character of the applicants will also be considered by the interview panel.
- Gained admission into NUS Full Time Undergraduate
- Chinese Studies and/or Chinese Language major(s)
- Good academic results and leadership qualities
- CAP => 3.5
- Students who are offered admission to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course at NUS and intend to major in CH and/or CL will be eligible to apply. Subject to (1) mentioned above, matriculated NUS students who are majoring in CH and/or CL may also apply during Year 1 to Year 3 (Semester 1) of their course of study.
- Students must not concurrently hold any other awards such as scholarships, grants, bursaries or free aid, without the prior approval of the FASS Scholarship Selection Committee as well as the respective awarding bodies.
