Small and familiar university. The typical saying that Germans are to be cold people is unreal here. German is teached very well if needed, and when participating in classes in German, I got really helped by those other Germans in my classes. Even teachers got some special hours for us. I pretty recommend this experience.
With all its unnecessary rules and regulations, the University of Bamberg purposely puts obstacles in the way of its students. The enforcements of not allowing students to retake exams, strange exam cancellation rules and other strict policies, give one the impression that the university does not want its students to succeed. The quality of education is mediocre at best,...
I am studying master at Otto-Friedrich-Universität and can highly recommend this university for other students. Bamberg is very comfortable city for students, not that big, but you can find everything here, not only for studying but also for entertainment. Excellent university campus, libraries, canteens and learning service that is always ready to help.
