Avans University of Applied Sciences was founded on 1 January 2004 following a merger of Hogeschool Brabant and Hogeschool 's-Hertogenbosch.

The bachelor's programmes are the main part of our portfolio. The Executive Board is keen to increase the current market share of its bachelor's programmes. The board also wants to expand its future role in the master's programmes, contract education and applied research markets.

Student services

Within the university counselors guide students in respect of their choice for a study programme. A study programme selection tool is available to find out if the programme of your preference fits you.

Housing services

Avans University of Applied Sciences does not offer student accommodation. Instead, we collaborate with housing corporations to help students find suitable housing. Please be aware that only a limited number of furnished rooms are available for international students. Breda has a rapidly growing student population. This means finding suitable and affordable accommodation can be a challenge.

Medical services

If you need medical care it is possible to contact a dentist or family doctor through Avans. As a foreign student this is extremely handy for you. In order to make use of these facilities, you can contact the International Office at Avans.
