The research groups in the Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences can be categorized into three main areas: Technologies for Energy and Environment; Technologies for Conservation, Protection, Recovery and Environmental Sustainability; Microelectronics and Mechatronics. These research fields are well integrated with one another and find a natural finalization in the topics relevant to the Horizon 2020 European funding program. The Department has strong ties with the regional and national industrial environment, with many collaborative projects presently going on.
