Heidelberg University of Education

The training of elementary school teachers in their school subjects began in Heidelberg in 1904 - although initially only with 39 trainees. In July 1958, the "Law on the Training of Elementary School Teachers" in Baden-Württemberg set the course for the foundation of independent pedagogical universities, which should combine scientific research and teaching with the requirements of school practice

The University of Teacher Education Heidelberg offers a wide range of different bachelor and master courses as well as extension courses. You can also do a doctorate at our university.
