In 1987 the territorial diffusion process of the University began, the Politecnico Network, which led to the opening of the regional campuses of Como (1987) and Lecco (1989) and of the regional facilities in Cremona (1991), in Mantova (1994) and in Piacenza (1997), with the aim of establishing a more direct relationship with the students and interacting with the community's local businesses.
Increasingly more global and competitive, the labour market is undergoing a moment of far-reaching transformation that urges us onto an accurate reflection around our educational offer in the fields of architecture, design and engineering. Research has always been linked to didactics and it is a priority commitment which has allowed Politecnico Milano to achieve high quality results at an international level as to join the university to the business world. Research constitutes a parallel path to that formed by cooperation and alliances with the industrial system.
Every year Politecnico di Milano offers a wide pool of talents ready to enter the job market. Thanks to our Career Service, Italian and international companies can come on campus to meet and recruit students or graduates and to introduce themselves as best employers.

All international students enrolled at Politecnico di Milano can apply for residences. Also students participating to international mobility programmes can be admitted. Nonetheless, the Politecnico di Milano cannot guarantee all students a place in residences and in fact some students choose to live in privately rented housing.
