In 1987 the territorial diffusion process of the University began, the Politecnico Network, which led to the opening of the regional campuses of Como (1987) and Lecco (1989) and of the regional facilities in Cremona (1991), in Mantova (1994) and in Piacenza (1997), with the aim of establishing a more direct relationship with the students and interacting with the community's local businesses.
Increasingly more global and competitive, the labour market is undergoing a moment of far-reaching transformation that urges us onto an accurate reflection around our educational offer in the fields of architecture, design and engineering. It is an assessment that personally involves the teaching staff, suggests new laurea programmes, lends value to the teacher-student interaction, and places new approaches and educational models under the magnifying glass.
In order to identify the competences inside the Departments, Politecnico di Milano uses the European Research Council (ERC)’s panels and their related keywords, that are worldwide recognized. The European Research Council supports frontier research, cross disciplinary proposals and pioneering ideas in new and emerging fields which introduce unconventional and innovative approaches. For the planning and operation of the evaluation of ERC grant proposals by panels, the following panel structure applies.
Every year Politecnico di Milano offers a wide pool of talents ready to enter the job market. Thanks to our Career Service, Italian and international companies can come on campus to meet and recruit students or graduates and to introduce themselves as best employers.
If you need assistance during your Study Programme, the Schools place the Tutoring service at your disposal. Some Professors and student tutors are available to you if you need some pointers on organising your studies, on teaching and on the way exams are run, or if you have to overcome some basic shortcomings to be able to proceed further with your educational program.
Politecnico di Milano offers to Visiting Professors and Visiting Researchers (holders of a Host Agreement with Politecnico) the possibility to stay in its residences, proposing single rooms or small apartments.
The First Aiders are duly trained employees of Politecnico, capable of handling medical emergencies, evaluating the severity of such incidents and giving first aid.
Politecnico di Milano is made up of seven campuses distributed in the cities of Milano (Leonardo and Bovisa campuses), Como, Lecco, Cremona, Mantova and Piacenza.
Politecnico di Milano supports the cultural, social, sporting and recreational activities promoted by the students of the University. Its Board of Governors decides annually on the funds to be allocated to the financing of such initiatives.
Initiatives can be of three type:
Together with the ISIC Association and British Council IELTS, Studyportals offers you the chance to receive up to £10000 to expand your horizon and study abroad. We want to ultimately encourage you to study abroad in order to experience and explore new countries, cultures and languages.
Studying at Politecnico is really hard. You are required to put a lot of effort in what you do, but it's totally worth it. Professors really go deep into every topic and you really learn much. On the other side, I find a lack of practical experience.
Mi piace molto l'ambiente accademico, aperto e cosmopolita.
At PoliMi I like the enviroment and the things I study and how my professors transmit they're wish to give us more and more for our future. There are some works for some buildings in the campus so at the moment there isn't much space for studying etc, but I know when it will finish it will be better and they'll improve more. I'm at the second year and I really love...
