Hof University of Applied Sciences

Our campus in Münchberg offers a unique education in Germany because of the relationship between the economy and the Textile and Design programs. Companies of upper Franconia also benefit from the centers of excellence and institutes at the University. The three research institutes concentrate on information systems, materials science and water and energy management. The Institute for Continuing Education offers both full-time and part-time degree programs. The Bavarian-Indian Centre for Business and University Cooperation, which is affiliated to the University, boosts cooperation between Bavaria and India.

Research is the planned quest for new insights, in contrast to accidental discoveries, and systematic scientific documentation and publication.

Applied Research means generating knowledge from already existing knowledge and available facts and generally refers to a particular practical, often technical, problem which should be investigated in an interdisciplinary manner.

The Career Service of Hof University has been available to students since the winter of 2011. As a service facility, we offer a wide range of professional preparation and orientation services. Our goal is to support students with information, counseling and qualification, to enable them to independently create a goal-oriented career path.
