Our university first opened its doors in 1962. Back then the Soviet Union was exploring outer space and needed highly qualified engineers to create the best missile and space complex in the world. TUSUR made a crucial contribution to the achievement of this ambitious goal. Since then it has always been one of the best engineering universities in Russia.
TUSUR University offers over 70 degree programs through its 13 faculties.
TUSUR is one of the Russian leaders in science and technology. Living costs are much lower in Tomsk than in most Western countries. Foreign students are often provided accommodation in the university dormitories, which costs only 700 rubles (approximately $10) a month. It is more comfortable and cheaper than renting any other accommodation. For instance, to rent a flat in Tomsk costs about 20 000 rubles or more (approximately $320) a month.

Besides, a free Wi-Fi zone covers the main building of TUSUR as well as adjacent Novosobornaya Square, where students like to spend their free time in the park close to the fountain. The Business Incubator of TUSUR also provides free Wi-Fiaccess.
TUSUR University has active sports clubs for students, faculty and alumni. The mountaineering and tourism club of TUSUR was founded in 1962. The Rowing Club of TUSUR University was founded in 1964.

Very good university, gave many career opportunities
I am in a climate characterized by extreme cold, where you have to pay for your own schooling.
We wrote a lot of low-level code did some Assembly got a lot of information about computer internals and how it works but we had quite a few "useless" subjects like english, history and philosophy which were taught quite horribly. Overall it's 3/5 expirience
