History
The history of it begins with the date of foundation of the Department of Agriculture within the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) structure, which transformed into the Faculty of Agricultural faculty in 1918.
Education
The educational conception of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NULES of Ukraine) is determined by its status as a research university. The University realises its educational, research, scientific, innovative, training and extension service activity directed to the development of the up-to-date technologies concerning life sciences and environment, reproduction, usage and balanced development of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
Research
The efforts of the scientists of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine are aimed at fundamental research and applied scientific and technical developments in the field of plant biology, animal biology, biotechnology, chemistry, applied mechanics, physics, ecology, economics, pedagogy, etc. More than 27 doctoral students, 610 postgraduate students and 50 employees of research stations and teaching and research farms are involved into scientific research.

Housing services
The university town is situated in the picturesque place of the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv. Students live in the students' hostels. The price of living in the hostel is 740 UAH per month. Cost of accommodation should be paid extra.
Library services
An area occupied by the library makes up 2844 sq.m. The users of the scientific library are attended at 8 subscription posts and 8 reading rooms for 580 persons. The library is equipped with the newest computer equipment: 71 computers, 13 printers, 12 scanners, a powerful data base server. After renovation, the central library and its branches have a modern comfortable interior for the users.
Sports facilities
The university offers sports facilities which include a football stadium with track and field racetracks and stands for 5, 000 seats, outdoor basketball and volleyball pitches, 2 playgrounds for mini-football, and tennis courts. In the sports complex of the university there is a playing hall, a karate hall, a hall for weightlifting, a gym, and a hall for wrestling. Sports facilities are adjacent to Maksim Rylskyi Holosiivskyi Park and Holosiivskyi forest – a great place for cross racing, orienteering, sports radio direction finding, ski racing, and tourism.
Student clubs
- Priority task for Labor Union is continuing cooperation with Administration in stand by Law of Ukraine of remuneration issues. Employment, Solutions of employment dispute, Civic control in accordance with legislation, Creation of labor secure conditions etc.
- Primary Labor Union of Students and PhD’s of National University of Life and Environmental Science of Ukraine – is civic organization of Students.
- Feminine club Harmony: Each year in University women do a lot of in Scientific Enlightenment and Culture Educational spheres. There are organization of meetings with interesting people (poets, historians, philosophers, painters etc.)

My impression of the course
I really liked the large number of additional courses, availability of information, contact with teachers and interesting presentation of the material. Maybe university should add more hands-on programming lessons, and more links to resources with information. I am still learning, but in general, the level and quality of teaching is excellent and allows you to gain a lot of knowledge.
