About
History
Plekhanov Russian University of Economics was founded in 1907. During its 114-year history, the university has always been closely connected with national economy: development of commerce and technologies of food production in the beginning of XX century, then formation of commodity science, growth of the cooperative movement, creation of state economic statistics and systems of planning, economic reforms of 1965-1970, macroeconomics and sectoral studies in the 1980s, promotion of market structures formation in 1990s.

Research
Strong scientific infrastructure is developed at the University to support regular increase of research work competencies of academic staff and scientific schools. The University is working to solve fundamental and applied problems of socio-economic and scientific-technological development of Russia.

Campus life
Plekhanov University is lucky to have its campus in the very center of Moscow, half an hour's walk from the Kremlin. The campus includes six buildings with classrooms, offices, and laboratories, a club and a students' dormitory, which is only 5 minutes' walk away from the campus. The Dean's Office of IBS-Plekhanov is in building.Computer labs and the International office are located in building of the University.The library and the department of Russian language. Classrooms are in all buildings, our schedules always indicate the room number and, in brackets, the building number.The nearest Metro station is Serpukhovskaya (grey line), which is only 2 minutes' walk away from the main building.
