Gdansk University of Physical Education and Sport

• 1952 - founding the Technical School of Physical Education
• 1957 - launching the physical education teacher’s training programme at TSPE
• 1969 - transforming TSPE into the Higher School of Physical Education
• 1973 - assigning the patronage of Jędrzej Śniadecki to TSPE
• 1981- transforming TSPE into the Academy of Physical Education
• 2019 - establishing the Faculty of Physical Culture

As part of the field of study, a student may choose a specialisation from a wide range of specialisations designed to meet the needs of the labour market and supplement it with other specialisations offered by the university.

Student life flourishes at Gdansk University of Physical Education and Sport, and students can develop their passions and interests, among others, in research clubs, in the Student Self-Government Council, in the ASA GUPES Sports Club, or in the “Neptun” Folk Dance Ensemble.

Gdansk University of Physical Education and Sport provides counselling that allows professionally diagnosing the optimal career development paths, as well as offers practical knowledge and develops skills that ensure appropriate behaviour on the labour market, so as to increase the chances of university graduates to be employed by a selected employer.
