This is promoted by the University-wide cooperation of scientists of the fields of natural, agricultural, economics and social sciences.

The high level of expertise makes the University of Hohenheim a popular cooperation partner. The task of the research centers is to network scientists from the three faculties on research concentrations for the entire University and to support scientists in procuring large consortium projects.

Student services

The Central Student Counselling Center's team advises and informs prospective and current students on all questions related to starting and carrying out their studies, especially related to studying at the University of Hohenheim.

Library services

The KIM Library, divided into the Central Library (ZB) and the Departmental Library for Business, Economics and Social Sciences (BB) is open to all University of Hohenheim members as well as to all persons with their place of residence is Germany.

Medical services

All students must have a health insurance up to the completion of the 14th subject-related semester, and up to the age of 30. They can either be insured with a private or a statutory health insurance company, either on their own, or with familiy members.

Campus life

One of the most beautiful campus universities in Germany: The hallmark of the Hohenheim campus is the baroque Hohenheim Palace, surrounded by the historical park and botanical gardens. Around the Palace are lecture halls, institutes, the canteen, libraries - a campus with short distances between destinations that promotes accessibility, communication, and transfer.Centrally located in terms of transportation: The University of Hohenheim is in the south of Stuttgart - only a few minutes away from the airport, the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre, and the autobahn. The University is around 10 km away from the city center and easily reached with bus and U-Bahn. 

Sports facilities

With around 50 different types of sport , Uni Sport offers University members the opportunity to take part in sport on campus.

As a key and fundamental element of university life, it brings together people from all departments, institutes, and institutions. Not only fitness, health, and well-being are in the focus but also the chance to make social contacts and promote integration in an informal university atmosphere.

Student clubs

Student groups are volunteer & community service groups at the University of Hohenheim made up of at least seven student members. The content of their websites does not necessarily reflect the opinion of the University.

Student group enrich campus life and push the University forward. They reflect the diverse interests of students. The initiatives range from cultural integration, lived faith in religious groups & diverse world views, ecological, economic, or social groups to political work.

The recognition as a student group is done by the Student Parliament, carried out by AStA. The requirements for recognition can be read in the catalogue of criteria found here.


In addition to the mandatory national accreditation of its study programs, the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences aims at an international accreditation with the well-respected accreditation agency AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). As a first step within this process, the Faculty has become a member of the AACSB in May 2016.

The app is really useful. You get a lot of notes, past exams etc. from your fellow students and it’s a great place to chat too. So overall, it’s been helping me quite a bit in my studies :)

Great campus in beautiful area. Study programms are well organized. However, but not much support from the university as an international student.
