About

History

Aspira University College was established in Split in 2008 by the Contemporary Education Institution in Split. Given that the Contemporary Education Institution is the founder of the Maritime Education and Training Centre Atlantis, these three institutions form one of the largest private educational groups in Croatia. 

Education

  • Aspira University College is a private college which organizes and conducts professional studies of International Management in Hospitality and Tourism, Gastronomy Management, Sport Management, on both undergraduate and graduate level. Aspira cooperates with numerous organizations, and values their recommendations related to the needs of the labour market. 
  • Each study program is developed only with regard to recommendations and opinions of these organizations. Along with studies, Aspira has been conducting certified programs by the Ministry of Science and Education for years and numerous trainings in the field of management, entrepreneurship, communication, gastronomy and tourism. 

Research

Academic staff has published nearly 300 scientific papers, professional papers and books since 2008, when Aspira was established. Each academic year more and more emphasis is being put on publishing and research work. 

Career

Aspira Career Centre organizes Career Fair every February to connect students and employers and allow students to find suitable internship and career opportunities.Career Day is a prime networking opportunity:

  • For students to introduce themselves to employers, make contacts, understand labor market needs
  • For our partners to crystallize new ideas, to direct students to their specific requirements

Library services

The library is equipped with 10 computers and is open to all students and staff members.Total number of available books is nearly 3200 amongst which both professional and entertaining literature can be found.It is also very well equipped with professional journals.The library stores physical copies of graduate and final theses of students, which are also digitally stored in the internal database 

ICT services

Internet access is provided throughout the college premises. Computers at the library as well as those at the cafe “Aspira” are all available to the students during the working hours of the college.

University College Aspira is located short bus ride from the old town. As Split is not too big almost everything is within walking distance.

There are no sports facilities within the college but there are many in Split generally.

Aspira University College has been certified in accordance with the Higher Education Act of the Republic of Croatia, who is a member of ENQA (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education). We are recognized at home and internationally as a high-end institution and are the recipients of academic certificate of excellence, ISO 9001 BUREAU VERITAS Certification.
