The Universidad Torcuato Di Tella was created on the pillars of two cornerstone organizations in Argentina: the SIAM factory (1910) and the Instituto Torcuato Di Tella (1958).
SIAM was the country’s largest industrial company of its time and also the first Argentine organization to have commercial presence in several Latin American countries and in Europe.
The mission of the University –which opened its doors on March 11th, 1992– is to educate new generations of academic, social, political and business leaders, and to advance research and scholarship in the arts and sciences.

As part of the acceptance package students receive a listing of different housing alternatives. Each student is responsible for finding a suitable accommodation using this listing or other resources, such as websites for shared/ renatl accommodation or expat blogs. The Facebook group for UTDT exchange students is a great resource for getting housing advice from former exchange students.

I really like my university in general, but like everywhere, it has its pros and cons. On the one hand, I really like the professors, who have extensive experience and are very interesting. On the other hand, I don't like that you can't pass courses; that's a bit of a turn-off for me.
