Career
If your university course requires experience in the workplace, we help you organise a placement that gives you a unique learning opportunity. Recent CATS Canterbury students have worked with international charity the British Red Cross, a local head injuries unit which collaborates with the NHS, as well as with architects and nearby businesses.

Student services
Our two dedicated full-time Higher Education Advisors have years of Admissions experience and offer unlimited individual support from day one, helping with each aspect of the university application process. You will take part in workshops as well as having personalised support, allowing you to feel confident in your university application.
The friendly CATS Canterbury staff are always on hand to answer your questions and provide advice on the university process. If you are unsure of anything, you can meet with your Personal Tutor or Higher Education Advisors outside of timetabled hours and feel confident that you are always supported.
Housing services
Our award-winning campus is well located in the heart of the historic, interesting and safe city of Canterbury.
CATS Canterbury boarding facilities are of the highest specification and are regularly inspected. Facilities include common rooms, social spaces, computer study rooms, a café and canteen. En-suite boarding bedrooms Our boarding facilities provide you with a home-from-home, with over 220 single en-suite rooms ensuring that you are comfortable, safe and secure.
All meals are served on campus for catered students, cooked by our team of onsite chefs. As we look after students from all over the world, we know the importance of enjoying a taste of home as well as trying food from different cultures.
ICT services
All of our residences have internet available via wireless router. We restrict wireless access after 00.00 for students aged 17 and under, and from 02.00 for over 18s to help you get a good night’s sleep and be ready to learn again.
Medical services
Our fully trained onsite Health Centre staff manage the Health Centre and provide physical and emotional support including medicine and health advice, emotional support, information on diet and healthy living, assessing and providing treatment if required, making referrals to doctors, dentists and other specialists, and counselling for personal issues.
Campus life
The beautiful Victorian CATS Canterbury campus is located near to the city centre, close to the River Stour and the main shopping area – allowing you to enjoy everything the city of Canterbury has to offer.
Consistently voted as the safest university city in the UK, Canterbury welcomes over 30,000 students from around the world to its three universities. It’s a vibrant city offering a range entertainment and cultural opportunities such as theatres, shopping centres, museums. It’s also only a 50-minute train journey to London.
Sports facilities
One afternoon a week is devoted to sports, where you will take part in a wide range of team and individual activities at the Sports Hall near to the main campus – allowing you to improve your university application and have fun.
