Founded in 2014 by Enver Yücel, the university is part of a unified global education ecosystem operated by BAU Global and Whitecliffe Global, functioning together as one integrated international education network.

Research
One of Whitecliffe University of Applied Sciences' distinguishing features is the establishment of a research institute, which is designed to help develop and carry out research initiatives and projects by our university, local and global partners.
The Research Institute supports the members of Whitecliffe University of Applied Sciences in their research activities. This applies to project development, project formulation, and project realizations. In addition, the Institute provides counseling for all staff members in questions of methodology, data collection, and data analysis. For successful funding, rooms and other resources can be requested from the head of the Research Institute.

Whitecliffe University of Applied Sciences has a library with a growing collection of textbooks and other resources. The focal point is on business administration as well as graphic design and visual communication, interior design and product design. It also offers a good study environment with a computer lab, free wi-fi, a self-service copy-machine and study desk for single or group work.
Accreditation
- Institutional Accreditation
The Science Council is a body organized by federal and state governments carrying out institutional accreditations. It is checked whether the university meets the necessary scientific, financial and personnel quality standards. Berlin International was institutionally accredited by the Science Council in 2019 and thus meets all the requirements for state recognition. The accreditation was granted for five years and renewed for another five years in 2025.

All study programs at Berlin International are accredited in cooperation with the accreditation agency ACQUIN e.V. All courses at BI are either accredited or in the process of (re)accreditation.

A Positive and Supportive Learning Experience
My study experience was positive and well-structured. I especially liked the supportive teachers and practical lessons. However, more modern resources could improve learning. Overall, it helped me build a strong academic foundation and prepare for future studies.
“A Rewarding and Enriching Academic Journey”
During my studies, I gained both academic knowledge and practical skills that have been invaluable for my personal and professional growth. I really appreciated the opportunity to engage deeply with the subjects I am passionate about, collaborate with peers from diverse backgrounds, and learn from professors who are experts in their fields. The interactive learning methods and real-world applications of the coursework made the experience stimulating and motivating. If I were to suggest an area for improvement, it would be to increase opportunities for practical exposure, such as internships or hands-on projects, to complement theoretical learning. I believe this would allow students to bridge the gap between knowledge and practice more effectively. Overall, my study experience has been highly enriching. It not only strengthened my academic foundation but also developed my critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and intercultural communication skills. I feel well-prepared to take on new challenges and contribute positively to my field.

what attracts me most to this program is its international environment creative approach and focus on the practical learning. i am especially interested in exploring innovative interior concept that combines functionality and cultural narrative . i believe this program will help me strengthen both my technical and skills and preparing me for a professional career in interior design.
