History
Established in 2004, IUS has become a leading higher education institution, both locally and internationally. IUS takes great pride in having climbed steadily to the top private university position in Bosnia-Herzegovina over the 16 years of its existence.
Education
IUS offers 18 Bachelor and 21 Master degrees, at five faculties: Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Business and Administration, Faculty of Law and Faculty of Education. Bachelor degrees are 4-year/240-ECTS programs and master degrees are 1-year/60 ECTS ones.
IUS programs focus on preparing the student for a rigorous contemporary work environment where the students have the opportunity to develop their practical and soft skills through cooperative work, such as group projects in IUS labs and research centers.
IUS staff come from over 45 countries, allowing the students to gain a sense of the global dynamics of the contemporary work life.
Research
IUS boasts 5 centers and 7 labs containing sophisticated up-to-date equipment such as the fabrication lab, 3D printers, CNC machines, editing software, growth chamber, and many more open to the university students 24/7.
At IUS, professors include 3rd and 4th year students in research, both in funded projects and in hybrid group projects, involving students from different study areas collaborating to create unique technological prototypes or develop existing models with their personal twist.
IUS is a proud participant in the COVIRNA project, as well as many other similar EU- and internationally funded projects.
Career
Having a nationally and internationally recognized diploma, from the first generation, IUS graduates have climbed the ranks of both academic and industrial ladders. The graduates can be found as PhD holders in renowned academic institutions, or higher management staff in famous companies.
