The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, a leading UK Medical School is a faculty of Queen Mary. Barts and The London was formed out of the oldest hospital in Europe, St. Bartholomew’s (known as ‘Barts’) which was founded in 1123, and England’s first medical school, The London, which opened in 1785.
We aim to achieve the highest standards in research and to make a real impact on health related problems for the benefit of local and global populations. You will have access to a collection of basic medical texts in the School Library as well as 24hr remote log-in access to a large selection of online resources, including picture libraries, books, journals and articles. The Library has excellent computer facilities, as well as individual private study and group study spaces.
Every student has an email account and access to the web, as well as a fast Wi-Fi service. Queen Mary University of London's intranet (QM+) provides students with an extensive medical knowledge base, which includes key lecture notes, papers and research resources.
The GMC recognises bodies to award primary medical qualifications and the process has started to quality assure the QMUL Malta Programme. This takes the form of a year by year review following the first cohort to graduation.
