Opened originally in 1901 as an agricultural college, Harper Adams taught its first degrees in 1981, received university college status in 1998 and became a full University in 2012. Her Royal Highness Princess Anne was installed in 2013 as the first Chancellor of Harper Adams University.

Our safe, rural location is a community where students are surrounded by friendly faces and helping hands. Lots of students live on campus, within walking distance of all our facilities.
The library offers access to around 41,000 books, 1,250 print and electronic journals and a number of online databases. Facilities include group study rooms and a silent study room. Staff on the enquiry desk can help you find information for your coursework or dissertations and show you how to use electronic journals, books and databases. The building has many open access computers and a wireless local area network to allow users to access the university network.

Linden Hall Surgery is based in the near-by town of Newport.
The main campus in the English countryside has everything you need to for study and social life. Other services can be found in nearby towns. The second site in in the centre of Telford, close to its entertainment quarter and large shopping centre.

it's a great university to begin my study life. tutors and students there are friendly and helpful. in this university, you are able to find what you are interested in and work in it. staying in this college always makes me feel safe.
Nice tutors! Warm campus! As an international student, it really makes me feel safe to stay at Harper. All tutors are great, especially the English Support Group. They've encouraged me a lot and provide a lot of help to my assignments. Although the campus is not very big, and it don't have many entertainment facilities, it's a good place to study. Everyone is nice. The most fantastic thing is there is a free fitness room for students to use. As a big fan of dance, it's really nice for me to find a place to exercise some dance movements, take a video and exercising with friends. I would strongly recommend you guys to join us! It's a beautiful place to enjoy the nature and peace, to make friends with nice people, to concentrate on your study.
The university itself is good and is not an issue. The issue is the students that attend. As most come from a traditional farming background, there is a lad culture formed around often outdated and dangerous views regarding homosexuality, race and dietary preferences (e.g. Veganism). Unfortunately, it is like stepping back in time. I myself have been a victim of hate crime, it is not a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community, I would advise you to choose another university if you fall into that category. Although support from the university and West Mercia police is fantastic.
