History
UAS Technikum Wien was founded in 1994 and in 2000 it became the first institution in Vienna to receive the status of a university of applied sciences. It became a member of the European University Association (EUA) in 2012 and is also a network partner of FEEI – Association of the Electrical and Electronics Industries.
Education
The educational offerings consist of 12 bachelor’s and 17master’s degree programs, which are offered as full-time, part-time and/or distance study programs. Eight degree programs are taught in English. The educational offerings are based on a solid scientific foundation and are also practice-oriented.

Student services
The University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien sees itself as an internationally oriented university that promotes the intercultural competence of its students and staff. In this context, the UAS Technikum Wien continuously supports projects that are intended to advance internationalisation.
Library services
The library currently has more than 21,000 pieces of media available, including books, master's theses, magazines etc. You can conduct research using the library's search engine.
18 working and reading stations as well as numerous computers and laptop connections can be used to work and study. Users can also browse through the library's offerings in a comfortable lounge area.
Campus life
Cafeteria Mia&Mason
The cafeteria Mia & Mason at UAS Technikum Wien offers a wide selection of lunchtime meals as well as small hot dishes, snacks, sandwiches, desserts and fruit throughout the day. The cafeteria is run by a leading local catering firm, Mensen Betriebs GmbH. It is located on the ground floor in Building A on the main campus.
Student clubs
ESN Technikum Wien is a local organisational unit of the largest student organisation in Europe, the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). The aim of this network is to support exchange students during their stay in the sense of the vision ("enrichment of society through international students") and to build bridges for exchange students in order to integrate them more easily into everyday life and to provide them with a cultural understanding of Austrian society.
