The Université Fédérale Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées (UFTMP) is a structure that groups together 31 higher education and research institutions in the Academy of Toulouse: 4 universities, 1 national university institute, 18 engineering schools and specialised schools, 1 university hospital, 7 research organisations.
The wide portfolio of courses on offer can be divided into four main areas: Arts, Humanities and LanguagesLaw, Economics and Management, Human and social sciences, Science, Technology, Health and Engineering sciences.
Research
The Université of Toulouse gathers many Research and Higher Education Institutions.
It was created by bringing toghether the 6 founding organisations authorized to deliver a national PhD diploma.
The research organizations of the Université of Toulouse are gathered in 6 research coordination hubs that are both thematic and trans-institutional; they will work in synergy with the Interdisciplinary Institutes acting at the crossroads of existing disciplinary clusters.

Student services
- The Resource Centre on the Rights of Foreign Nationals at the Université de Toulouse was established in 2011 for the main purpose of centralising and disseminating information on the rights of foreign nationals (students and researchers).
- The Resource Centre also initiates information meetings and publishes newsletters for personnel in the member establishments of the Université de Toulouse and for international students and researchers.

Library services
The network counts 61 libraries distributed throughout the Midi-Pyrenées region. These libraries, part of 12 institutions members of the Université de Toulouse, provide access to their users thanks to a pass/card. The network libraries shares a common catalogue of all their collections.
