Nagoya City University was established as a public university consisting of the Medical School and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1950. Its lineage, however, stretches back to Nagoya School of Pharmacy established in 1884, and Nagoya Municipal Women’s Higher Medical School established in 1943.
We will provide education in order for each student to identify their personal qualities and acquire culture as the foundation of thinking to enable them to overcome challenges in various aspects of their lives.
We, as mettlesome seekers of the truth, will push forward with highly creative, advanced research and disperse the research accomplishments as a “center for the creation of knowledge” to contribute to human happiness by exerting our prominent intellectuality and high ability to take action.
