Copenhagen School of Design and Technology is an Academy of Higher Education which offers over 30 different educational programmes at Bachelor degree and Academy Professional degree levels. We offer a wide range of programmes in English within the fields of Design, communication, construction and Technology.

KEA offers programmes at 3 different levels of education:

  • Academy profession degree programme (AP)
  • Top-up Bachelor degree programme (BA)
  • Bachelor degree programme (BA)


Research & Innovation Centre plays an important role in the strategic development of KEA's various educations and programmes with a focus on four core areas:

  • Sustainability and Material Technology
  • Design and Innovation
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Pedagogy and Didactics

The Research & Innovation Centre works across disciplines and traditions to develop projects that challenge and inspire our participants whilst also making an impact on society in general. 


With a degree from KEA - Copenhagen School of Design and Technology you get a practice-oriented, higher education at Academy Professional level and/or Professional Bachelor's level, developed in close cooperation with the region's business community and educational institutions in Denmark and abroad. We are in constant dialogue with companies and industry associations to keep education programmes updated in both form and content.

This ensures that the education meets the current requirements and needs of a dynamic labor market. You are therefore well prepared when choosing a future with KEA.


Student services

Student Service Centre - KEA launches a new concept for student service. We are gathering all student-oriented service functions in two centres at KEA Campus Guldbergsgade and Campus Lygten. The service functions include:

  • IT Servicedesk
  • Study Administration
  • Study- and Career Guidance
  • International Coordinators

Housing services

The main task of KEA Housing is to accommodate incoming international exchange students. If we have available rooms after that, we offer these out to international full degree students on our waiting list.

We do not accommodate Danish students or persons not enrolled at KEA – Copenhagen School of Design and Technology.

Incoming international exchange students automatically get an accommodation offer from KEA Housing 1-2 months before the beginning of the semester.

International full degree students can sign up for the waiting list.

ICT services

Learning at KEA is to a great extent digitised which requires basic IT skills and the appropriate IT equipment for your specific programme.

Student Life

Campus life

KEA currently consists of 8 different locations, each with their own features that are available to all students. KEA's campus is spread across Copenhagen with the result, that each department is greatly influenced by the community it is a part of. Taking a tour of KEA's campus is a good way to experience the diversity of the city from the noble Hellerup to the hip Nørrebro and the vibrant, multi cultural North West district.

Student clubs

KEA Sport is a student friendly non-profit sport organization for all students at KEA with a philosophy that focuses on social networking, enjoyment and fun!

I've been taking my Bachelor's degree at KEA and most of the courses are ok, most teachers are skilled and overall nice people. However, problem is when you need to deal with any of the student services or school office personnel. They do not reply to your emails, it's virtually impossible to find them in person as their office hours are ridiciously short and when you manage to get in touch w...
