History
The Romanian-American University was founded in 1991 whose mission is to promote the educational values of the American academic education given the rich traditions of the Romanian education.
Education
- School of Computer Science for Business Management provides its graduates with theoretical and practical specialty knowledge in compliance with the current requirements of the field “Computer Science for Economy”, thus facilitating their integration in software companies.
- School of Finance and Accounting: promotes an innovative and holistic approach to research and education. Finance and Accounting mean that you will benefit from the skills of our academics in two challenging but also interesting areas
- School of International Business: RAU offers an educational and research path at a high standard of quality, in an internal intellectually stimulating climate, both for students and for the teaching staff.
Research
Through the promotion of value in education, research and innovation, our university will lastingly consolidate its position at a national and international level, being a partner for the community which it is part of, placing at the center of its concerns life improvement and experience enhancement for the main beneficiaries of its activity: students, alumni, teaching staff and administrative personnel.
Career
The role of the Center of Career Counseling and Guidance is: to provide students and graduates with information, academic counseling and career guidance services, as well as to promote networking between students and graduates. In order to facilitate access to the domestic and international job market and to develop a successful career for University students, C.C.C.G. organizes events in partnership with various stakeholders in the business, legal or institutional environment in Romania.

For the students coming from outside Bucharest, the Romanian-American University provides a very modern hostel, furnished with the latest and most efficient facilities, to ensure the best conditions for study.
Library services
The library has enriched its publications fund with extremely valuable foreign writings received as donations from James Madison University, American University, the academician Constantin Corduneanu, the American-Romanian Academy, DeSales University, UN Library, etc.

Accreditation
The Romanian-American University reconfirms the quality of the education offered and its position of excellence in the Romanian university environment by obtaining, for the third time in a row, the highest qualification awarded to Romanian universities – “High Degree of Trust”, offered by the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, following the external evaluation process of the academic quality.

Interesting
Everything was okay with my studies i can't complain
A good experience as a student
My experience in this program is a good one. The subjects are interesting and help you understand the field better. The teachers explain clearly and are generally open to help when you have questions. Sometimes the workload is higher, but that's normal for a university. Overall, I think it's an okay program for students who want to learn and develop. I would recommend this program to other students.
Some suggestions
What I think can be improved is having more social gatherings between students, with a wider variety, and also I think there should be more interest and focus on the international partnerships between universities
