How to make Education a success!

Although I missed induction, I have found my way around. Students and lecturers very polite and helpful. A few more signs to places like reception, accomodation, student records etc. Would not go amiss. I have begun to realise what a complex world we live in due to segregation of duties and one department (including the student as one of these) not knowing what another department can do if something goes wrong for a freshman as in my case with accomodation. Also, there is a part of the course which I do not need to take. As the course is set up on computer as a whole course, I could not register as I would then have to pay for the whole course and I will not be taking the whole course. When my accomodation hasn’t worked out and I could not register then I could not get any help as technically I am not a student even though my studies started over two weeks ago. This also meant that although I could attend the library to study I could not borrow books and I was unable to use the internet. My department quickly organised another code on the computer for me to register this week. The computer department helped me to get on the internet and lend me a charger, (mine was in the previously mentioned privately arranged accomodation). I could attempt to communicate with my landlady and make alternative arrangements with this help. I have a student code now and can get my ID organised this coming week. This will give me access to the full range of facilities on offer. Thank you to the college for working outside the set procedures to allow me to take this course. Thank you to students and staff for your courtesy and kindness in helping one very mature student find her way around both college life and facilities in such an inclusive way. The learning to date has been really incredible and the atmosphere is fantastic.

Motorsport Engineering at Chichester College

I really liked the opportunities to go to race weekends at various race tracks around the UK and get involved in the world of Motorsport and the chance to interact with other people at race weekends. I really enjoyed how the class sizes were rather small and you get to know everyone and become friends with them all.
