Nakhchivan State University was founded in 1967 as a Nakhchivan branch of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute. 102 students on 3 specialties were admitted to Nakhcivan branch of Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute. Teaching staff consisted of only 3 staff members. Nakhcivan State Pedagogical Institute was founded on the basis of Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute in 1972.
At present on 47 specialties in 12 faculties about 5 thousand students are studying at Nakhchivan State University. Highly qualified specialists are getting their higher education in bachelor, master and doctoral levels.
The postgraduate course in Nakhchivan State University was established according to the decree No 25 of the Study of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic dated to August 18, 1991. In 2010 the postgraduate course was changed into the department of Doctor’s level.Preparation of high-qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical cadres in Azerbaijan Republic are prepared by means of the highest level of higher education – the department of Doctor’s level which is completed by issuing scientific degrees (philosophical doctor and doctor of sciences).Education in the department of Doctor’s level is conducted according to the programs of philosophical doctor and doctor of sciences.

Thus, I can say that I have had many experiences and I am still reading, they play a very important role for the sincere teachers and the lessons to be explained and understood in an understandable way. In addition, both the teachers and the board of directors are in a very understanding and supportive position in each decision and elections.
