The decision on foundation of university in Baku and the acceptance of its statutes was made on 01 September 1919 during the assembly of the Azerbaycan Democratic Republic’s Parliament – there was created a new educational center where Europe and Asia jointed.
Today, Baku state University offers students 16 majors with 55 bachelor and 153 master degrees.
The University is the centre of 37 scientific research and teaching labs which cover not only natural but also humanitarian spheres Scientific Research Institute of Applied Mathematics and Scinetific Research Institute of Phesics Problems.

Scientific Library of the Baku State University is one of the richest libraries of our country. Baku State University was founded in 1919. The Library was created in the same year and played an important role in the structure of the university.
The football square with artificial cover equipped with plastic seats fitting to high international standards 2000 people, swimming complex in modern type and having a length about 25 meter were build and were given to the use of the professor- tutors and to chair’s students.

My overall study experience was very good. The professors were helpful and the courses were well-structured. I especially liked the practical approach to learning. It would be even better if there were more internship opportunities. Overall, I am very satisfied.
Actually not much but overall that was a good experience for me.
My studies made me feel restricted and very ordinary due to the fact that there were thousands of people just like me pursuing the same degree, the same goal, and facing the same problems. nevertheless, being a student in Azerbaijan strengthens your survival skills in public transportation and keeping it together while a conservative lecturer full of dogmas is building a dictatorship over your generation.
