In 1962, “Centre International de Glion” opened its doors with 15 students representing 5 different nationalities. This began our journey to becoming a world-leading hospitality business school. The second Swiss campus opened in Bulle in 1989, then in 2013 Gilon became the first Swiss hospitality school to open a campus in London.
Glion has solid connections with leading brands in the international hospitality industry, plus event management and luxury sectors. More than 200 international companies visit the campuses every year to recruit fresh talent.
Internships make up nearly one third of our undergraduate curriculum and these provide students with vital, real-world experience. Through their internships, students acquire strong professional skills, make valuable industry connections and develop real-life awareness of industry standards. Each student gets on average 7.7 internship offers.
At Glion, 98% of job-seeking students have one or more employment offers on graduation day.

Students have many different activities and sports available outside of classes. For example, there are numerous sports teams and clubs, plus students have access to dedicated facilities including fitness centers and tennis courts.
Student Affairs are responsible for organizing activities during the weekends, such as city visits around Europe or activities including paragliding, canoeing, rafting, and many others.High quality residential accommodation is offered to students across all three of our campuses.
On the Glion campus, we have five student accommodation buildings. On the Bulle campus, we have four student accommodation buildings, while our London campus has two accommodation buildings.
Students have the choice between a shared double room or a single room.On the Glion and Bulle campuses, students have access to a dedicated on-campus library, together with a free online library.
London campus students have access to the University of Roehampton Library. This library opened its doors to students in September 2017 and offers 1,200 study spaces. It was nominated for the 2018 Royal Institute of British Architecture London Awards.Internet access is provided on campus. Glion Institute of Higher Education has IT-enabled classrooms for teaching specific software systems or packages. Students are required to bring their own laptops to school, and are offered full technical support by our IT department.
Through the Health and Welfare department, students have access to support and guidance on a range of issues. On-campus we have a first line health service available to students who are unwell during the day.
To support emotional health, we organize workshops and meditation courses frequently. Gilon also organizes ‘social health’ workshops.
Glion campus, near Montreux, is the flagship campus and practical learning center. There are 5 student accommodation buildings, 16 classrooms and study rooms, a library, plus 2 concept restaurants.
The Bulle campus offers 4 student accommodation buildings, 16 classrooms and study rooms, boutique, library, 2 concept restaurants and self-service restaurant. This campus is located in a picturesque medieval town full of shops, trendy bars and cafes.
On the London campus is one main building with 6 classrooms, coffee shop and common rooms. The London campus is located in the grounds of the University of Roehampton, offering a dynamic study experience.Sports facilities are available for students across all three of our international campuses.
Glion offers a fitness center and gymnasium on-campus. For Bulle and London, students have access to fitness centers just a short distance off-campus.
In addition, each campus’s Student Affairs Department is responsible for providing different sports facilities witin the local area. For example, students have a free access to a tennis court and swimming pool near the campus and transportations are organized if needed.Diversity and multicultural.
