Founded in 1942, Carleton was created in response to the need to help provide the young people in Ottawa, many of whom had taken on jobs to cope with the pressures of the Depression.

A consortium of nine Canadian universities and Indian partners, led by Carleton, Ryerson and Simon Fraser, strengthened its position in India with the opening of offices that provide space to focus on entrepreneurship and innovation. The Carleton University Student Emergency Response Team (CUSERT) is a volunteer campus emergency response team serving the Carleton University community. Artemeva’s first task at SLaLS was to design and implement a course that would satisfy the requirement of the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board to introduce a written and oral communication component into the engineering curriculum.
The courses for this program were well set up, interesting, and relevant to the overall objective of the program. However, there was a limited number of resources and designated work spaces for people completing their final year project, such as designated meeting spaces and computer labs.
The program is really interesting and I was able to schedule part time work while I study to cover some of the cost of studying out of my family's residence.
I’m eager to learn additional skills with hand on approach, this university has not only offered that but also a conducive environment .
