Welcome to the history of Leeds University Business School. The history starts over a hundred years ago when the Yorkshire College was first founded and Political Economy was taught, and takes us on a journey through the history of the people and business courses studied at the University of Leeds over the years to present day.
Student education: To enable individuals to develop their academic potential, their employability, their global and cultural insight and their ethical awareness to enhance their potential to benefit business and society.
Our six divisions form the framework for our teaching and research. Much of our research involves cross-divisional, cross–University, cross-institutional and international collaborations organised through cross-disciplinary Research Centres.
Our research mission is to produce and disseminate world-class research, to increase knowledge, skills, understanding and impact. As a research-intensive Russell Group institution, our research power, size and diversity mean that we are able to offer interdisciplinary opportunities, both across the University and with a wealth of international partners. With over 200 academic staff in the Business School from across the globe, and a wider community across the University of Leeds, our people share a passion for excellence.
As graduates, you have access to the exclusive MyCareer database of local, national and international job opportunities, as well as many student and graduate internship opportunities. You will need to register for a graduate login.
The University's business start-up service, Spark, advises and assists students and alumni who have graduated within the last seven years with their initial business idea to start-up and beyond.
If you graduated in the last five years, you can make connections through the University's online networking tool, Leeds Network.
The Global Student Satisfaction Awards empower students across the globe to determine the best universities of 2019. By rating institutions on a scale from 1 to 5, on multiple studies-related questions, we found the top educators in the world.Learn more about the Global Student Satisfaction Awards
