Services

Student services

The Buddy System

The Buddy System is a project created in collaboration with the Tel Aviv University Student Union specifically for International students. It is a group for students, run by students. The Buddy System's goal is to create a united and multicultural campus at Tel Aviv University.

The program offers all international students the opportunity to enhance their connection to the city, country, and community by connecting them with Israeli students at events held throughout the academic year.

Housing services

  • Einstein Dormitories

The Einstein dormitories are located across the street from the Tel Aviv University main entrance (to the west). Shared rooms are available there for our international graduate students.

Each dormitory suite is divided into two bedrooms; two students sharing each bedroom.

  • Broshim Dormitories

The brand new Student City (Broshim student dormitories) is located a few minutes away by foot south of Tel Aviv University campus. Studio rooms are available there for international graduate and post-graduate students.

Library services

TAU libraries constitute an enormous and constantly updated pool of books, magazines, journals and articles, accessible to TAU students from anywhere in the world. Accessibility is a primary concern for TAU so in addition to shelves laden with books and journals the university offers students and staff digital work stations all across campus.

Medical services

Israeli Health Insurance

The TAU International insurance policy is a basic health insurance plan that covers treatment within the state of Israel by a large selection of private, English-speaking doctors. It also covers hospitalization in public hospitals.

Student Life

Campus life

TAU believes in making its campus a central venue for both rigorous academic research and a multitude of cultural and social events. As a result the campus is the site of music concerts, film screenings, art exhibitions, poetry readings and many other types of activities available to TAU students and staff and often open to the general public.

Sports facilities

Elite Sports Center

In addition to providing facilities for the university's physical education courses, the Elite Sports Center is a key venue for competitive intercollegiate and Israeli league activities in a variety of sports. The sports center is equipped with an Olympic-size swimming pool, floodlit tennis courts, a basketball court, a running track, and a soccer stadium.

Accreditation

Tel Aviv University is accredited by the Israeli Ministry of Education and the Council for Higher Education. In the United States, Tel Aviv University participates with the Department of Education’s FFEL Program.

Student Reviews

Studying in TAU
Anonymous rated 4 out of 5 stars

Overall it was really good. I loved the material and the professors, and felt that I manage to extend my horizons even beyond my areas of studying.

I feel that students with more money had less difficult life as they could buy the materials required to create projects of higher quality due to the accessibility of expensive production processes like CNC and 3d printing
