From climate change and conservation to geohazards and food insecurity, Geography at Sussex explores how people, places and environments are connected, and how we can build more sustainable and equitable futures.
You’ll learn from faculty members driving real-world change. You’ll focus on the physical side of Geography, exploring themes such as climate change, geomorphology, hazards and biogeography. You’ll learn how natural processes and human activities interact across our planet, whilst having the flexibility to include human geography modules if you wish.
Careers
On the Geography (Hons) BSc at University of Sussex , you develop strong research, numerical, analytical and resource-management skills. This means you can go on to careers in a wide range of sectors, including:

- business sustainability.

General requirements
International requirements:
- International Baccalaureate: 32 points overall from the full IB Diploma.
- Including at least 5 in higher level Geography or another science subject.
- European Baccalaureate: Overall result of at least 77%.
- Evidence of existing academic ability in Geography is desirable (normally with a final grade of at least 8.0). You must have a good level of Mathematics.
UK requirements:

You will also need GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics, with at least grade 4 (or grade C).
- You should also have a broad range of GCSEs 9-4 (A*-C), including good grades in relevant subjects.
