Overview
Together with foundational sciences, students explore the intricacies of human health and examine the pathological basis of disease processes by studying human pathophysiology, molecular genetics, immunology, microbiology and neuroscience.
Students develop skills in problem-solving, analysis and interpretation of medical and laboratory data, as well as practical skills in laboratory methods.
Graduates of Biomedical Science course offered at the Southern Cross University may qualify for postgraduate degrees such as pharmacy and physiotherapy, or choose to pursue medicine or other careers.
Career
Graduates find positions in biomedical, health, university and government research; hospital, veterinary and pathology laboratories and scientific sales; quality assurance, health departments and pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
