Overview

The Chemical Engineering course at Qatar University is designed to develop basic knowledge in: Material and Energy balance, Thermodynamics, Fluid mechanics, Heat and Mass transfer, Control, Reaction engineering and Plant design.

In addition, there are several elective courses in gas processing, environment, petroleum engineering, and polymer engineering that students can study to broaden their knowledge.

The graduates will:

Use their strong foundations in science, math and engineering to practice chemical engineering skills in related careers, including oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, water and energy management, and other related industries.

Take an active role and participate in their continuous professional skills and interpersonal competencies. This includes graduate studies, leadership, and alternative career paths.

Demonstrate ethical and professional standards with commitment to HSE (health, safety, and environment) and social responsibility throughout their careers.
